This exquisite handmade clergy stole features the classic symbol of the resurrection--the butterfly. I have heard it said that God gave us the butterfly as an explanation of what happens in resurrection: A body dies and then comes back, transformed; still the same person, but fully the person he or she was created to be.

The butterflies are cut from cotton metallic prints, and finished with satin thread around the edges. The embellishments, (the lines of imagined butterfly flight patterns) are hand drawn and manually machine stitched in matching satin thread.
