This beautifully handmade clergy stole features uplifted praying hands shaped as an altar of incense, with smoke rising and swirling from the center of the hands.

When my husband saw this stole finished, he wept. My son, who was 14 at the time, commented that it was "loaded with meaning."

The hands/altar piece is made from gold silk dupioni, and the smoke is cut from metallic sparkle cotton print. The design is outlined in rayon thread machine satin stitched in coordinating colors.
